Ana is a multi-disciplinary creative who is currently focusing on creative nonfiction as her primary medium. She is a second generation born and raised native to Las Vegas, Nevada. Inspired by her home desert-land, she creates through the written word, paint, found objects, industrial materials and more. Ana is a passionate observer and listener who seeks to lead others to experience beauty in ways and places that might otherwise be overlooked. An intense longing for truth and justice also burns at the core of who she is. She hopes that the stories she tells through art, poetry, and creative nonfiction will hold a light to both personal and universal truths in the pursuit of justice. Ana has been scratching the creative itch since she was a child but began taking herself more seriously as an artist at age 16 and pursued a fine art education right out of high school at Biola University in LA where she studied Painting and Sculpture for 3 years. She holds an Associate’s degree in Spanish from the College of Southern Nevada, a Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, and is currently attending the University of Nevada Reno for her Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Nonfiction. Ana practices and teaches yoga in order to stay sane and also loves to go out and support her fellow creators in all the different creative communities of Las Vegas.
