Ana is a multi-disciplinary creative and high school English teacher. She is a second generation born and raised native to Las Vegas, Nevada. She creates through the written word, paint, found objects, industrial materials and more. Ana is a passionate observer and listener who seeks to lead others to experience beauty in ways and places that might otherwise be overlooked. She has served in various roles for literary journals such as Witness and Helen: A Literary Magazine. Her words have been published online and in print for literary arts organizations such as Royal Rose Magazine, Fevers of the Mind Poetry Digest, Witness, Helen, Nevada Humanities, and Palabritas. Her artwork has been shown at places such as Biola University in Los Angeles, CA and galleries in Las Vegas such as Jana’s RedRoom and Gallery54. Ana holds an Associate’s degree in Spanish from CSN and a Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing from UNLV. When she is not creating or teaching, she is practicing yoga, hanging out downtown, or spending time with friends and family.
